Accelerating Distribution Channels Through a Digital Entrepreneurship Ecosystem: Women’s Entrepreneurship
Main Article Content
Abstract
Conventional distribution has many stages, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, end users, and returns. Although several independent firms work hard through conventional distribution channels to reach consumers, the use of digital entrepreneurship platforms is poorly organized, so engaging the local workforce in distribution cannot flourish. A supply chain with an effective distribution network can be cost-effective, timely, and reliable in reaching all consumers. This qualitative case study is based on Accelerating Bangladesh, which provides education, meetings, and training to women-led digital business entrepreneurs, enabling them to expand in sales, delivery, and distribution. The study examines women's digital entrepreneurship, in which digital entrepreneurs reach consumers through a socially beneficial distribution ecosystem. The study results show that embracing digital entrepreneurship creates a working opportunity for the community workforce in a delivery partnership. Through this business practice, entrepreneurs contribute socially by creating business value.
